World AUTISM Acceptance & Understanding Day

The United Nations declared 2nd April World Autism Awareness Day. The aim of this day is to emphasise the importance of contributing towards the improvement of the quality of life for people living with Autism so that they live fulfilling lives as engaged members of society.

The 2021 theme for World Autism Awareness Day is “Inclusion in the Workplace: Challenges and Opportunities in a Post-Pandemic World.” The theme was established with the intention of mitigating and resolving the challenges and unequal treatment that people on the Autism spectrum face, when they reach the phase of having to transition into adulthood; especially the employment market.
